Masters Thesis

Lately there has been a trend in robotics with communication. In SIGRAPH last year two robots spoke to each other in ultra-sonic frequencies. My thesis project is in a similar vein. I am going to create two robots that communicate to each other via some language. As currently planned one robot will be cute and the other intimidating. The cute robot will have a more natural sounds while the other robot will communicate in a much more robotic noises. They will have noises that will fit certain emotions and an small AI to figure out what the correct emotional response would be to the other's emotion. I would also like to add a component where the viewer can change the conversation by talking to one or both of the robots. More information on the “cute” robot later.
